New Place
So we finally moved into a new place. We've been here almost 2 months now and we're still unpacking and moving stuff around. It's been a long road but I'm so glad to have our own place again. We've had a pretty good summer so far. We've been to Bear Lake with Crystal and Ash which was super fun. We are also planning on going to Jackson Hole on August 13-16. We are going river rafting...Heaven help us : ) It should be really fun though. John and I have been doing lots of fun things together including going shooting...that's right, me...shooting a gun. Ha ha, it was so much fun and I wasn't too bad if I do say so myself. We just shot 22's up Providence Canyon and it was a blast and something out of the ordinary to do together. One of these days, we are going to take out his remote control airplane and take that baby for a spin.
I'm babysitting two little twin boys during the day right now and they are so cute and so much fun! I really enjoy watching them and will be sad when summer is over and I no longer watch them. But that means I'll be going back to school! I am terrified beyond belief but I think I'll do really great this time around. I think I am a lot more stable and mentally prepared to go this time. Then, when I'm finished, we might think about having a baby and then John can go back...long process but it is a must I think.
Max is doing great in our new apartment. We have a nice big backyard that he can run around in until his heart's content. Before we moved here, we took him to the vet and they told us that he was overweight...oops. But now that he has a yard to run around in...he's right back to his ideal weight and he's happier than ever.
John is also loving his job as always. He was reviewed not too long ago and received top marks out of everyone in his department. He got a raise (which was great for us) because he is so awesome at everything he does. I am so proud of him!!
John and I are also hoping to build a house in the near future. We have applied with this Non-Profit Housing Authority. They work together to help low-income families build their own houses. It works by using what's called "sweat equity" to pay your down payment. That means that you do most of the work instead of paying out sub-contractors and that pays your down payment. Your monthly payments go off of your income and how many people are in your household. 6 families work on 6 different houses so that everyone finishes around the same time. The house plans are set but there are quite a few to choose from. You get to choose your siding color, brick, rock, fixtures, closets, carpet, EVERYTHING!! You just can't modify the original plan of the house. But once they have the open house, you can basically do WHATEVER you want to the house...you can paint, knock down walls, add on...anything...it's your house after that. I'm super excited...although we haven't got accepted yet and I feel like I'm getting my hopes up, it's kinda hard not to. But I really hope we get accepted and can start building our own home soon! Well, I guess that's all for now.

Hello All!
Ok I decided I need to make a blog so people can have a place to go if they want to know what's going on in our lives (if they care to know). John and I have been married for almost a year and a half...Wow! It's crazy to think it's already been that long. We got married on November 16, 2007, in the Logan Temple. We are currently living with his parents in Providence. Not my ideal living situation but you gotta do what you gotta do...right? We (or at least I) hope to be moved into our own place before the summer. We have an adorable Beagle named Max who is just over 2 years old. John bought him for me while we were dating. I'll post photos soon. I currently have 2 jobs. I am a nanny in the morning for a sweet 1 year old little boy named Jared and I also do After School Club at Wilson Elementary. I love both my jobs! John is working for a company called "Inovar". He has worked there for over 6 months now and he really enjoys his job as well. He has already gotten a promotion since he's worked there. He is just so awesome at everything he does. I am hoping to go back to school at USU in the Fall to get my teaching degree. I have one more hurdle left before I can say I'm an Aggie again. Well, that's all for now, but check back frequently. I hope to make this a regular thing for people that I don't get to see as often as I'd like.
