Sheetrock!

Last week, we got all our Sheetrock up in our house. Since these photos were taken, we have texture on our walls.  We also have insulation up in our basement and a wall up by the heater.  Mind you, these pictures were taken on Thursday :)

 Mud room/laundry room
Kitchen...and look, we already have a microwave!  Crazy workers brought it to warm up their ramen noodles....whatev.
 Living room
 Carter's room
Room downstairs that has a wall now.

I was going to add more pictures but they were all sideways and I had absolutely no way of fixing them.  It really made me mad actually so I'd rather not talk about it ha ha.  Keep watching for more house updates!  We will be working on our closets, getting our interior doors hung and putting trim around them and baseboards.  Woo!

My Bunky in the big tub :)

Last night for Carter's bath, I decided he was getting much too big for the little tub we got before he was born.  I decided it would be perfectly fine if we put him in the big bath tub.  He absolutely LOVED it!  He loves baths anyway but now he can actually play.  Here are some cute shots I got :)  Enjoy!

Don't worry that he can stick his entire freaking fist in his mouth ha ha

John is responsible for this one...of course

John was dripping water on him

 ALL CLEAN!

I'm sorry but he is so freaking cute!!!!!!

 Fast asleep :)

New addition to my healthier diet

A while ago, I was reading my friend, Holly's, blog.  She blogged about green smoothies.  At first, I thought the idea was absurd and sounded absolutely disgusting.  Well, guess who had a green smoothie for breakfast?  ;)

Ok, I know it looks like baby poo in a cup, but it actually tasted super good!  Bonus:  it's EXTREMELY good for you!  Here's what I put in mine:

2 3/4 C. raw spinach
 1 1/2 C. water
2 Tbsp. flax oil (which is freaking expensive but way good for you)
1/4 tsp. Stevia
1 whole banana
1 C. frozen strawberries

The sky is the limit for what you can put in these things.  I was super nervous that it was going to be awful but it tasted really good AND it filled me up and I drank a 16 oz cup.  This recipe I used was half what is suggested and I had enough left over to have another glass for lunch :)

The information came from a lady from Utah who calls herself the "Green Smoothie Girl".  Her blog is greensmoothiegirl.com.  I also bought her book on Amazon for about 9 bucks plus shipping and I'm just waiting for it to come.

I plan on drinking 2 of these a day to help with my weight loss and just be overall, more healthy.  Side note:  there is only 1 health food store in the entire midst of Cache Valley...tragic.

Crazy about LOVE DAY!

Yesterday was so crazy!  Not even kidding you!  I honestly can't even remember half the things that happened because there was just so much!  OK, let me start at the first I guess.  Carter is still pretty sick :(  After feeding him yesterday morning, he went back to sleep.  When he woke up, he threw up all over me when I was taking him in his room to get dressed.  We're not talking "spit up" here...we're talking Exorcist style, (green and everything) projectile vomiting all over me.  I yell at John to come in and grab him so I can clean us both off.  I throw baby in the tub and then I get in.  I put Carter in a onesie and lay him on the bed with John.  He has been sleeping a lot since he has been sick so I just let him go back to sleep.  I am a procrastinator...putting John's gift off to the last minute, of course.  I wanted to get him a vintage Batman toy from an antique store but, alas, neither of the stores I went to had any such toy :( Boo!  So I got him this instead...
A new hopper for his paintball gun.  He has needed one for a long time and I decided it was a good gift :)  He told me my gift is in the mail but he won't tell me what it is so now I just wait...I'm no good at waiting...

So after I gave John his gift, I took Carter in to get him dressed.  Last week, during my Old Navy splurge, I got him an adorable Valentines outfit, pictured here...

"Little heart breaker".  I think he is ;)

Side note...while I was getting Carter ready...this guy was staring at me through the window!!!  Can you see him?

No more than 20 minutes later, he throws up AGAIN!!!  All over his adorable outfit. NOT TO MENTION all over my bed :(  I was not having a good morning (yes, I said "morning".  It was no later than 11 at this point).  I'm really getting worried now.  After he threw up, he just kept dry heaving and coughing.  I decided it was time to call the doctor again.  My doctor was booked solid yesterday so I got an appointment with another Pediatrician at 1:10.  I had already taken him to the doctor on Friday but he said there wasn't much I could do other than just wait it out.  When we got there yesterday, the first thing they did was weigh him...he was down 8 ounces since Friday!  Not good!  Also, he had a lot of wheezing in his lungs so she hooked him up to a breathing machine.  Here's my little man in the doctor's office
This picture was taken with my phone so it's suck-ola.  Don't ask me what is with the color, because I have no idea.  He actually did really well with the mask.  He squirmed at first and then he calmed down and just breathed in the medicine.  They sent us home with a rental and our very own attachments...woot!

After the doc, I headed to work.  I made super fun Valentines for my Kindergarteners and co-workers.  Behold my craftiness
I also made cupcakes for my co-workers but that didn't happen until last night so they are getting Valentine treats a day late...I'm sure they won't mind ;)

Way funny story from work yesterday:  So my friend, Aiko, made little valentines for the kiddos as well.  She got up in front of them and asked, "What day is it today?"  they all yell back "Valen-times Day!!!!".  Aiko:  "That's right, and what do we do on Valentines Day?"  Adorable, innocent, sweet little girl:  "We make love!!!"  Me and my friend Marlyn bust up laughing!  I couldn't even hold it in...it was just too perfect!  I ♥ my job...seriously!  Who can say they have amazing things like that happen almost every day?  That's right...not many.

When I got home, I took John dinner at work.  I do this every Monday and I really enjoy it.  I used to do it every night but since we've been working on the house, I only get to do it on Mondays so I take advantage of it.  When I got home, Carter was having a pretty hard time breathing so I gave him another treatment, sucked out his boogies, fed him, jammied him and put him to bed.  Poor baby was just so tired.  That was about 9.  After he was asleep, I got a lot done.  I made the cupcakes.  Here are the ones I made special for John :)
Aww...how presh!  Then I worked on some blocks I am making for a very dear friend's baby who is due this month!  (I will upload pictures of them when they're done...I'm very excited at how they look so far).  Then around 12:30, Carter starts screaming.  I can hear him through the monitor and he sounds super congested.  I went and got him out, changed his diaper, sucked out his boogies and tried to rock him back to sleep but he was just too congested.
His face says it all, I think :(
By this time, I had to go get John from work.  I had to wake up my mother in law to take Carter so I could leave.  When we got home, they were in the rocking chair and he was half asleep.  I decided to give him another breathing treatment.  John's first time doing it:
Carter is honestly so content when we do the treatments.  He just sits there with his mouth wide open and just talks.  I have a video of him...maybe I'll upload it if it doesn't take 8 years like it usually does.  Here's another picture of him with his fish face ;)
After his treatment, we sucked out the boogies again, fed him and then he was happy and content :)
Ha ha, I took this upside down picture of him before he went back to sleep.  Mind you, this was at like 2:30 in the morning.  Well, I guess that concludes the insanely crazy day I had yesterday.  Surprisingly, I wouldn't consider it a "bad" day.  All in all, I enjoyed it and I'm glad my little monster is starting to feel better :)

Confession time

I've been thinking lately that I have a lot of things I need to confess...to no one in particular so I'll just post it on here:

1.  When I get hair on my fingers in the shower, I wipe it on the wall
(I got this picture off the internet...it's not from my shower.)

2.  I'm addicted to Facebook...there, I finally said it

3.  I was eating super healthy all week, then, Thursday I ate a donut and it was absolutely delicious :D
4.  I think Carter is the cutest baby in the entire world

5.  I hardly ever shave my legs in the winter
6.  My nightstand is constantly covered in crap.  I will clean it and by the next day it will be a disaster again.  I don't even know how it happens...honestly.  The mess fairy must come or something...

7.  Sometimes when Carter spits up on me, I just wipe it off and call it good....same when he does it on the bed.  Judge if you will, but I know most moms have done it at some point.

8.  I text when I drive

9.  I swear

10.  I love TV.  Mostly trashy shows that my bishop would not approve of ha ha.
Again, judge if you will, but I know most people have many things they would not be willing to admit and I just figure...might as well.  I am who I am and I'm certainly not going to change :)

My big boy

I guess it's been quite sometime since I've posted.  Carter is seriously growing like crazy!  I just can't handle it.  He is 3 and a half months old and, get this, he rolled over for the first time tonight!!!  I freaked out.  I was doing laundry and he was just talking to me as always.  He was not feeling good earlier (throwing up, exploding diapers, the works) so I decided that laying him on his tummy might help.  Well, he didn't like it so what does he do?  Just flips right over like it's nothing.  Way to go Carter!!!  Mom was so proud of you.  I wish John could have been there to see it.  I feel like he misses a lot with his work schedule but I'm so grateful he has a job.  Also, Carter got a shnazzy new doooooo!  His hair was getting ridiculously long so I had to cut it.  Here are the before and after shots :)

Seriously...he looks like a little sheep dog

Everyone kept asking me why I cut it..."he's too young" "It's not that long"....yadda yadda yadda.  Seriously people???  It was freaking long and it's not like I shaved him bald.  It's about as long as it was when he was born.  Really though, he looks more like a little boy now instead of my baby.  He tries to sit up on his own.  He is getting so strong.  I honestly can't believe all the things he does.  He also got blessed last Sunday (finally...).  I was so grateful to EVERYONE that was able to make it.  It really meant a lot to me.  We had a little issue with directions and my mom, sister, brother in law and my sisters in laws actually missed the blessing but don't worry, I'm not mad.  I actually felt bad because they all felt so bad that they missed it.  They got lost and couldn't find the church.  No bueno but it's all good.  Enjoy a few pictures from the blessing.  Sadly, I didn't get any of him in his outfit so we're going to have to take some and pretend it was the day he was actually blessed...pssh....who cares anyway?
These are 4 of my very best friends!  Jerry, Russ, Luke and Zarin.  I was SO glad they could all make it :)

My cousin, Matt and his beautiful family:  Maddie, Debbie, Rendon, and Jaden.  So happy they could make it too.  All the way from Grantsville!

It took 3 shots to get this decent one ha ha.  The one previous to this I am laughing because Jerry told me to not put my hands too low or something to that effect.  I love these guys ♥

Crys and Riley and my mom and Boogie.  We had a lot of fun.  We had the luncheon at the school that I work at.  It worked out perfectly because everyone got to play basketball ;)

My sister, Amber and her husband, Shane.  I was glad they were able to make it too :)

My sister, Crystal's in-laws Shelly and Kevin.  They are just like family to me.  I love them both so so so so much!

Another one that we had to take like 90 shots and this was still the best one we got.  I need that program where you can cut out bad things and fix them...anyone know what it's called?  ha ha.
John did a beautiful job.  He is super super scared of getting up in front of people but he gave the most beautiful blessing I have ever heard (even though he didn't have a microphone and my  nephew screamed through half of it).  I love him so much and I'm so glad he was willing to go outside his comfort zone to bless our wonderful baby :)

House Update:
We have SHEETROCK!!!  Our house actually looks like a house inside now.  I was surprised at how big the rooms actually are.  I was under the impression that they would look SMALLER once the sheetrock was up but they actually look bigger.  We are almost finished shingling the rest of the houses.  We have about 1 and a half left and then we will have no more work to do outside...I'm really looking forward to that day since the temperatures have been in the teens the past few nights.  Now that the sheetrock is up, we will be putting up trim, painting, doing floors and before you know it, we'll be moving in.  I'm so so so excited!  House warming party at my house when we move in ;)  (invites go out to the 2 people that actually read this thing ha ha)  I don't have any pictures of the sheetrock yet (I was going to get some tonight but didn't go out because of the sick baby) but I'll put up the most recent picture I have.

Please excuse all the garbage in front.  This is the finished product once our shingles were done.

Well...I'm just going to put up some more pictures of my studly little man because I can't get enough of him and I think he's stinkin' cute.  Enjoy ;)
Old Navy had their Kid/Baby sale and I went a little crazy...but doesn't he look adorable???

 Huge blue eyes...

...and a charming smile.  I'm going to be beating the girls off with a stick ;)

We went on a walk yesterday morning and it was freezing!  Hence the body suit...that he kept trying to eat...meh...

Later that day.  "Naturally good looking just like dad".  Another Old Navy find.  5 bucks...who would pass that up, right?

What a freaking stud :D
